The Best of Barcelona and Andalusia -
Past Travelers Comments

Want to know what it’s like to travel with Tuscany Tours?

Here is some feedback from past travelers on The Best of Barcelona and Andalusia tour:

This trip was a classic Tuscany Tours adventure: the history, the culture, the food and wine, and the sites that were shared by superlative guides. Our tour host, Ben, was personable, knowledgeable, organized—just a delightful young man!

Our favorite things were everything!  The Palau Musica, the day of Gaudi's amazing buildings, the cooking school, Seville with the Flamenco concert, Cordoba and its phenomenal Mosque and, of course, Granada and the Alhambra.

We enjoyed the great group of 16 interesting people. All guides were the exceptional level we have come to expect from Tuscany Tours.

What could Tuscany Tours have done to make your trip better?

Nothing.

If you want to see what is really the "best" of Barcelona and Andalusia including some unexpected and delightful surprises, you can't do better than Tuscany Tours. Small groups, preferred access, the best local guides, restaurants and food; that's what Tuscany Tours does every time.

La Sagrada Familia did not disappoint me, and the Mezquita was an awesome surprise.

Ben is truly a gem. Keep him for sure. Don't change a thing.

We followed this trip with a Viking cruise of the Duoro River in Portugal. Tuscany Tours could teach Viking a thing or two about authenticity as well as selection of local guides.

Dear Pam and Sam,

Amy and I are back home, having gotten our respective buses at Logan.  Every night we discussed the day's adventures, culinary and other, in Spain.   We had a great time together and enjoyed absolutely every part of the trip.

The hotels were beautiful.  The rooms were welcoming and comfortable, and the hotels well situated and quiet. Great breakfasts and staffing, too.  Lots of hot water and good water pressure for showers, which can be hit or miss at hotels everywhere.

Likewise, the restaurant meals you created were memorable not only for the food itself, but for presentation and restaurant locations.  The lunch on the river in Sevilla, and the last dinner, overlooking the Alhambra, were fantastic.

Our guides were excellent as always.  Such knowledgeable, patient and genuinely nice people.  Javier I shared his sense of humor and love of life as well as his knowledge; I have a couple of great photos of him eating the spring onions and pouring wine into his mouth.  And Daniele was an impressive but approachable scholar and linguist.  They all wanted us to love and appreciate Spain as they do.

The flamenco performance, sherry tasting, and cooking class were all fantastic. (Please send recipes!!)  The flamenco was mesmerizing.  I have only seen it once before, many years ago, and was enthralled.  The mosque, Alhambra and Gaudi buildings are so moving and beautiful, especially when coupled with all the history they represent.

You both provide an outstanding experience, and put so much of yourselves into the tours.  It's no wonder you enjoy such a high percentage of repeat travelers.  It was a treat to be met at the airport, and we think the mix of activity and free time was perfect.  A trip with you really is a cultural immersion and so much fun.
