Catalonia Wine Tour - Tour Overview

It's easy to enjoy life in Catalonia! Here you find some of the most interesting wine regions in Spain, where winemaking has been developed into an artform and pairs perfectly with the local gastronomy.

This tour is made specially for wine enthusiasts looking for exceptional experiences not available to the regular tourist. We’ll visit top producers where you will enjoy professional wine tastings with intimate visits and a quality program. We want our guests to fall in love with Catalonia the same way we did when we ventured out from Barcelona to visit the surrounding Wine Country. We hope to share our amazing experiences and favorite places with as many wine and food lovers as possible. Come and get enchanted!

The wine region of Priorat, with its intense and velvety red wines, was first to raise the interest of international wine lovers for Catalonia, but in each of the 12 unique wine denominations you will find producers that are making exceptional still and sparkling wines and award-winning Vermouth. There is something here to please
every taste bud!

Catalonia is a fantastic destination for any gastronomist, offering the full range from traditional slow food to Michelin starred restaurants. The Catalan cuisine is complex and sophisticated, ranging from the seafood of the coastal region to the game and mushrooms of the forests, sometimes combined in the “mar I muntanya” (sea and mountain) cooking style.

We will pick you up at Barcelona airport and on the way to our hotel in Tarragona we will stop at a winery in the region of Penedès where you will try both their still wines and sparkling Cava. In the evening, we gather for a wine tasting and introduction to Catalonia, followed by a welcome dinner at a restaurant in the city.

The next day is dedicated to the mountainous wine region Priorat, a favorite amongst wine lovers from around the world. We start off at a small winery in one of the truly picturesque villages of the region and are treated to a private wine tasting in the cellar. Lunch is served at a winery in the village of Gratallops, paired with the wines of the cellar.

We start day three with the “Vermouth Experience” at a cellar in the wine appellation Tarragona. When we have worked up an appetite, it’s time to take a break for lunch. In the afternoon we go on a city tour of the Roman city Tarragona with a local guide.

We spend our final day in beautiful Conca de Barberà. We visit a family winery and start with a drive through the vineyards, followed by a cooking class with a traditional Catalan recipe. We eat together and enjoy the wonderful wines with our meal. In the afternoon we visit the Medieval town Montblanc for a guided tour.

After breakfast in Tarragona, we will take you back to Barcelona where you can fly home or join us for The Best of Barcelona & Andalusia tour. We wish you a pleasant journey and hope to see you again!
