The Best of France's Loire Valley and Normandy - Tour Specifics

TOUR DATES:    Come back for 2027 dates!

Cost: The land cost of the tour is $TBD per person, based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available for a supplementary charge of $TBD. Airfare is not included.

Accommodations: 8 nights lodging in elegant, historic hotel properties including: 2 nights in Paris, 3 nights in Honfleur, 3 nights in Amboise.   All rooms have ensuite baths.

Meals: All breakfasts plus one full-course meal daily are included.  All meals…after breakfast!…include regional wines. We carefully choose the restaurants based on ambiance and quality of cuisine.

Calvados and Wine Tastings:  We’ll visit a calvados distillery in Normandy and a winery in the Loire Valley.

Transfers: Ground transportation during the tour is included. On the tour start date, we will pick you up at the Paris Charles de Gaulle airport (code: CDG); we will group participants together and you may wait up to an hour for the pick-up based on the timing of others’ travel. On departure day, there will be a group shuttle departing our Paris hotel at 9 AM to the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The transfers are included only on the tour start and end dates. If you wish to arrive in Paris earlier or depart later, we can book a private transfer for you at an additional cost.

Admissions: Entrance fees for all planned visits to monuments, galleries and museums are included.

Guided Tours with local authorized expert guide: Paris, Villandry, Chambord, Chenonceau, Chartres, Honfleur, Giverny, Calvados tastings, D-Day sites.

Small, Intimate Group: We will be limiting the number of participants to a maximum of 16.  We need a minimum of 12 guests for a tour to run.

Arrival and Departure: The tour will begin at our hotel in Paris and end in the same hotel in Paris.

Luggage: Please be sure to have a luggage tag attached to the top handle of your luggage with your name printed clearly on each piece of luggage. This helps the porters deliver your luggage directly to your room.

Early Arrival/ Late Stay Options: For those interested in arriving early or extending their stay, we’d be happy to help you! For trip extensions of 2 nights or less, we provide planning assistance on a complimentary basis. For extensions of 3-5 nights, there is a nominal fee of $150 to assist with trip planning including booking hotels, guides, drivers, etc.

Gratuities: Gratuities are a personal decision, but we recommend €10 per person for each daily guide and €10-20 per person per day for your Tour Leader. At the hotels, it is nice to leave €2-3 per day for the housekeeping staff and €1-2 per person per day for the breakfast room servers. For drivers, you may wish to tip €5 per person for a transfer with 1-2 passengers or €3 per person for a transfer with 3 or more passengers.

Tour Exclusions: Airfare; hotel city tax (usually €4-7 per person, per night; payable onsite); trip insurance, and gratuities for your local guides, drivers, and tour leaders. Tuscany Tours tips at all group meal restaurants.

NOTES:
**Due to the ancient architecture of hotels renovated from restored palazzos, each hotel room is unique and room sizes may vary.

**All hotels have air conditioning but in the shoulder seasons, they may not be permitted to use them due to European laws. Please be aware that we cannot ask the hotel to use the air-con if it is against the current regulations in place.

**Tuscany Tours reserves the right to make changes to tour venues, tour leaders and guides as circumstances may require.

**The comfort and safety of our travelers is our priority. If you have moderate mobility issues, please do not sign up for this tour.  Please consider the high volume of steps and the terrain of the territory before booking.  All guests must be able to navigate steep and/or uneven surfaces like cobblestone and walk for at least one hour at a time to comfortably participate in this tour.
