Past Travelers' Reviews
Want to know what it’s like to travel with Tuscany Tours?
Here is some feedback from past travelers on The Best of Barcelona and Andalusia tour:
Our trip to Barcelona and Andalusia was amazing and led by Ben who was fantastic! Each hotel was unique and beautiful, the tours in each of the cities were well considered and led by local experts. The tour was a wonderful combination of fun activities (Flamenco performance, Paella cooking class, sherry tasting) and educational/historic sights (Alhambra, Sagrada Familia, and Park Guell). There was also ample free time to explore or shop on our own. On our trip, of 16 guests, only two were new to Tuscany Tours. I think that speaks volumes! Many thanks!

This trip was a classic Tuscany Tours adventure: the history, the culture, the food and wine, and the sites that were shared by superlative guides. Our tour host, Ben, was personable, knowledgeable, organized—just a delightful young man!
Our favorite things were everything! The Palau Musica, the day of Gaudi's amazing buildings, the cooking school, Seville with the Flamenco concert, Cordoba and its phenomenal Mosque and, of course, Granada and the Alhambra.
We enjoyed the great group of 16 interesting people. All guides were the exceptional level we have come to expect from Tuscany Tours.
What could Tuscany Tours have done to make your trip better?
Nothing.

If you want to see what is really the "best" of Barcelona and Andalusia including some unexpected and delightful surprises, you can't do better than Tuscany Tours. Small groups, preferred access, the best local guides, restaurants and food; that's what Tuscany Tours does every time.
La Sagrada Familia did not disappoint me, and the Mezquita was an awesome surprise.
Ben is truly a gem. Keep him for sure. Don't change a thing.
We followed this trip with a Viking cruise of the Duoro River in Portugal. Tuscany Tours could teach Viking a thing or two about authenticity as well as selection of local guides.

What did I like best about this trip? Everything!!! The tour leaders, the specialty leaders in the various destination activities, the hotel locations, the superb organization - absolutely everything!
Nearly 2 months have passed since I've returned home, and I've just made another round of the recipes we learned together! This trip beyond others resonated to my core, not only because of the places we visited, but because of the people leading the trip and my fellow participants. They were all extraordinary, knowledgeable in many ways, lighthearted and joyous, and they left an indelible mark on my heart.

Dear Pam and Sam,
Amy and I are back home, having gotten our respective buses at Logan. Every night we discussed the day's adventures, culinary and other, in Spain. We had a great time together and enjoyed absolutely every part of the trip.
The hotels were beautiful. The rooms were welcoming and comfortable, and the hotels well situated and quiet. Great breakfasts and staffing, too. Lots of hot water and good water pressure for showers, which can be hit or miss at hotels everywhere.
Likewise, the restaurant meals you created were memorable not only for the food itself, but for presentation and restaurant locations. The lunch on the river in Sevilla, and the last dinner, overlooking the Alhambra, were fantastic.
Our guides were excellent as always. Such knowledgeable, patient and genuinely nice people. Javier shared his sense of humor and love of life as well as his knowledge; I have a couple of great photos of him eating the spring onions and pouring wine into his mouth. And Daniele was an impressive but approachable scholar and linguist. They all wanted us to love and appreciate Spain as they do.
The flamenco performance, sherry tasting, and cooking class were all fantastic. (Please send recipes!!) The flamenco was mesmerizing. I have only seen it once before, many years ago, and was enthralled. The mosque, Alhambra and Gaudi buildings are so moving and beautiful, especially when coupled with all the history they represent.
You both provide an outstanding experience, and put so much of yourselves into the tours. It's no wonder you enjoy such a high percentage of repeat travelers. It was a treat to be met at the airport, and we think the mix of activity and free time was perfect. A trip with you really is a cultural immersion and so much fun.
