Sardinia: Sea, Stone & Soul Tour Specifics

TOUR DATES: October 7-15, 2027

Cost: The land cost of the tour is $7,511 per person, based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available for a supplementary charge of $1,327. Airfare is not included.

Accommodations: 8 nights lodging in elegant, historic hotel properties (4 nights in Alghero and 4 nights in the Barbagia). All rooms have en-suite baths.

Meals: All breakfasts, one full-course meal daily (either lunch or dinner), additional meals as scheduled. All meals—after breakfast!—include regional wines. We carefully choose the restaurants based on ambiance and quality of cuisine.  We are able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets as well as various food preferences.

Wine Tastings: Scheduled tastings of various Sardinia wines (including small local producers as well as famous well-known producers).

Transfers: All ground transportation during the tour subsequent to your arrival at the hotel in Alghero. On the final morning, there will be a group shuttle departing Barbagia and going to the Olbia airport.  If you need to depart at a different time or for a different destination, we can help you book a transfer through our travel partners at an additional cost.

Admissions: Entrance fees for all planned visits to monuments, galleries and museums are included.

Guided Tours with local authorized expert guides. 

Small, Intimate Group: We limit the number of participants to a maximum of 14 guests.

Arrival and Departure: The tour will begin at our hotel in Alghero; we will pick you up at the Alghero airport. We will group arrival pickups as close as possible in time; you may need to wait up to one hour for your transfer. The tour ends with a group shuttle to the airport in Olbia. If you require different transfer services upon arrival or after the tour, transfers can be arranged through our travel partners for an additional fee.

Early Arrival/ Late Stay Options: Depending on hotel availability you may be able to arrive early or extend your stay. We'll be happy to help you make these arrangements. For trip extensions of 2 nights or less, we provide planning assistance on a complimentary basis. For extensions of 3-5 nights, there is a nominal fee of $150 to assist with trip planning including booking hotels, guides, drivers, etc.

Luggage Handling:  We will provide luggage handling services all throughout the tour, commencing with your arrival at the Alghero hotel and until your arrival at the Olbia airport.  Please be sure to have a luggage tag with your name printed clearly on each piece of luggage.

Tour Exclusions: Airfare, hotel city tax (usually €2-5 per person, per night; payable onsite) and gratuities for your local guides, drivers and tour leaders. Tuscany Tours tips at all group meal restaurants.

Gratuities: Gratuities are a personal decision, but we recommend €10 per person for each daily local guide and €10-20 per person per day for your Tour Leader. At the hotels, it is nice to leave €2-3 per day for the housekeeping staff and €1-2 per person per day for the breakfast room servers. For airport drivers, you may wish to tip €5 per person for a transfer with 1-2 passengers or €3 per person for a transfer with 3 or more passengers. Tuscany Tours tips all group bus drivers and at all group meal restaurants.

**Due to the ancient architecture of hotels renovated from restored palazzos, each hotel room is unique and room sizes may vary.

**All hotels have air conditioning but in the shoulder seasons, they may not be permitted to use them due to European laws. Please be aware that we cannot ask the hotel to use the air-con if it is against the current regulations in place.

**Tuscany Tours reserves the right to make changes to tour venues, tour leaders and guides as circumstances may require.

**The comfort and safety of our travelers is our priority. This is why we dissuade travelers with limited mobility from taking part in this tour. If you have mobility issues, please consider the high volume of steps and the terrain of the territory before booking.  All guests must be able to navigate steep and/or uneven surfaces like cobblestone and walk for at least one hour at a time to comfortably participate in this tour.
