The Best of Provence Tour
[ Sold Out! ]
Jun 26 to Jul 4, 2018

The Best of Provence begins in one of the oldest and most picturesque villages in Provence, the lovely hamlet of St. Remy. You'll be met at the airport and taken directly to our hotel where you'll be able to relax and enjoy the gardens before our first Provençal dinner together!

St. Remy de Provence Roman Aqueduct Cheese Display

From our base in St. Remy during these first few days we will explore the richness of Provence's village markets, its famous wines and fine cuisines, and its medieval cities and ancient sites. We will take trips with local guides to explore the towns of Arles and Aix-en-Provence and the evocative ruins of Glanum and Les Baux. We'll also enjoy a trip to the market and a hands-on cooking class in Avignon with a master chef who has catered meals for four French Prime Ministers (not to mention the national soccer team!).

For our final three days in Provence we will transfer to an elegant 18th century Chateau in the heart of the wine country. We'll have a private introduction to the wines of the Côtes du Rhône region with a distinguished sommelier as we bask in the beauty of the countryside. We'll spend some time exploring the Luberon region, one of Provence's most rustic and picturesque areas. The lavender fields will be in full bloom at this time of year and the landscapes are truly spectacular.

Abbaye de Senanque Roussillon Chateauneuf

As always, we've planned time in our daily adventures when you will be free to hike, shop, and follow your own inclinations.
